St. Paul’s Food Booth

It is too early yet to report on the financial results as we just finished packing the equipment away for another year on Wednesday. Stay tuned for a follow on report when the numbers are available. However we could not argue with the weather – five straight days that were perfect for a fall fair.

This year we simplified the menu we offered to the public. We also reduced the number of shifts required to cover the booth from 184 to 158. Recruiting gets more challenging each fall. As in previous years, the majority of the volunteers come from our own St. Paul’s congregation but others from nearly EVERY church in Lindsay and the surrounding area signed up to help. The event executed smoothly thanks to all you volunteers – well over 120 different individuals.

Thank you everyone for your enthusiasm and personal contribution. You should feel very proud of what you have
accomplished.  – Gerald Armstrong

Euchre Night

The Youth Group set up a Euchre evening to raise money for their programs.  28 people attended and they raised $188.  It was a fun evening with lovely food and great prizes.  A great job done by the youth.  And a very good time had by those who came to play.

Euchre Night on May 26th!

Euchre night is coming up!

On the 26th of May at the church, the youth group is hosting a euchre night as a charity. The entry fee is $8 at the door, and runs from 6:30 til 8. It will be a round robin tournament, with a 50/50 draw, and some door prizes. You can sign up as a team or as a single. Singles will be paired up with other singles. We hope to see you there, and to spread the word. This is open to anyone who can play it! So tell your friends!
