It was a fantastic evening!!  A capacity crowd enjoyed a most delicious dinner courtesy of Edna Smith and her faithful ‘crew’.  This was the start to a most entertaining and memorable evening.

With the room themed in the 150th Canada celebration colours, our highly energetic and efficient auctioneer, Michael Green was kept extremely busy between the Live and Loonie auctions creating a lot of hilarity along the way.  Imaging getting a wonderful homemade cheesecake for $3.00!

My thanks to all – it involves so many individuals.

Huge thanks to Linda Todd and Patti Fisher for developing the auctions and to all those who were so generous in donating the many items needed.

Along with Edna, there was a wait staff of happy volunteers, a group of energetic men and women who set tables, washed linens, acted as hostess and wine steward and stayed afterward to restore the chairs and tables to their rightful places for Sunday services.

This was the Spring Thaw’s most successful year.

Once again Michael Green, —–you were terrific (hope you didn’t lose too much weight!!!)
