SIMMONS, Wm. Glen “Dutch” (long time employee of Lindsay Hydro)- with his family by his side, entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Dutch Simmons, in his 81st year, was the beloved husband for 60 years of Audrey Simmons. Loving father of David Simmons, Janice and her husband Chris Algar and Scott Simmons and his spouse Lesley all of Lindsay. Loving grandpa of Carla, Chad, Ryan (Kendra), Kristen and Cayley and great grandpa of Elizabeth and Avery. Dear brother of Ray Simmons and his wife Pat of Lindsay and the late Bruce Simmons. Dear brother-in-law of Catherine Simmons of Cambray and Margaret Warren of Peterborough. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay (705-324-3205) on Saturday, May 7 from 1:00 P.M. until time of a “Celebration of Life Service” in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. If desired, memorial donations to St. Paul’s Anglican Church or the Ross Memorial Hospital – Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family.

Tyndall, Don: (B A Oil/Gulf Canada Retiree) – Peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay after a long and courageous battle with heart disease in his 79th year. Don was the beloved husband of Betty Mae (Lewis) for 57 years. Dear father of Deborah Svatos and her husband Frank and cherished Poppa of Amanda Heath all of Ottawa. Survived by his sister Muriel Stepp, his mother-in-law Bessie Lewis both of Lindsay, sister-in-law Shaaron Lewis of Toronto and her children, Sherri (David), Heidi (John) and Douglas. Don is predeceased by his parents Norman and Annie (Bell) his brother Carl Tyndall, brother-in-law Howard Stepp and his father-in-law Cecil Lewis. Celebration of life service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 45 Russell Street West, Lindsay on Saturday, February 19th at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service, at the church. Spring interment in Richmond Hill.If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Lindsay audio visual system would be appreciated. “An avid golfer, hunter and fisherman, Don enjoyed life to the fullest.”

Kennedy, Helen May ~ Entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, on Wednesday December 8, 2010 in her 93rd year. Helen (nee Wilshaw) was the beloved wife of Harold, dearly loved mother of Arlene (Ken) Oakes of Rosedale, Sharon (Bill) of Vancouver, and Bob of Toronto. Sister of Frank of Toronto and predeceased by Bill, Jack, Jim, George, and Joan and by brother-in-laws Max and Clifford. Proud aunt of many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, and great great nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mackey Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St Paul’s Anglican Church, 45 Russell Street West, Lindsay on Tuesday December 14th at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will take place in the spring at Dunsford Cemetery. JOHNSON, Kelvin E.K. (Board Member of Lindsay Horticulture Society and longtime member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Lindsay) – Passed away unexpectedly at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Kel at the age of 76 was the beloved husband of Donna (nee Brintnell) for 55 years. Loving father of Paul and his wife Miriam and Cheryl and her husband David Carway. Proud and adored grandpa of Amanda and her husband Nick Salm, Mike Carway, Eric, Evan and Denise Johnson. Cherished great grandpa of Keegan and Grayson Salm. Dear brother of Merelyn and her husband the late John Hamilton. Fondly remembered by Brenda Murduff. Sadly missed by relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Helen Smith – Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville on Saturday November 20, 2010 in her 92nd year. Helen was the loving mother of John and David. Cherished grandmother of Barbara, Andrea, Lee Anne, and David Jr., 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. LOCKWOOD, Pearn (Retired principal of the Bear Island #3 Murillo, Four Way, Oliver Road, Blake Township and Grandview public schools) – Passed away after a brief illness at the Freeport Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, October 14, 2010 in his 71st year. Pearn Lockwood was the beloved husband of the late Dorothea Lockwood (nee Lane). Loving father of Terry (Anna), Jo-Anne Smallwood (Gary), Linda McNally (Chris), Deanna Case (Mike), Dawn Wallick (John), Dana (Leanne), Daren (Tammy) and the late Thomas. Lovingly remembered by 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Ross (Mary), Wes (Shirley), Stan (Elaine) and the late Barry (survived by Peggy).
