Kitchen/Cooks’ Fare News

St. Paul’s congregation continues to  generously support this project by purchasing our products. To date we have made almost $7,500. in sales. From our profits, we have paid over $1,000. in kitchen repairs, bought over $1,600. of new kitchen  equipment and given the church $650. towards utilities.

As well as providing “fabric” for the kitchen our product is used to help those in need of food and to cheer up/support individuals going through troubled times. We have donated close to $500. (at cost) so far this year. We have also committed to  supporting the youth ministry, by providing the food for a meal to start each of their meetings.

The Christmas cakes will be ready for December 3rd, and the Christmas puddings for December 10th. Profits from these items will be used to purchase new shelves for our fridge and freezer, as they have to be replaced.  We are fortunate to have a very energetic and dedicated core of individuals who help make this project work and you would be most welcome to join us. Friday  mornings, between 9:30 – 11:30 is our set production period, and everyone is invited to join us to help whenever they are available.

We are also OPEN FOR SALES during this time, and a number of non-parishioners have started to take advantage of this opportunity to buy our items.

P.S. Our crab apple jelly, red pepper jelly and blueberry jam are excellent as hostess gifts &/or  for Christmas gifts; they add a personal touch!
