A number of St. Paul’s members generously donated hygiene products, or money so that Rev. Bonnie could purchase them in response to an urgent need request by the local Salvation Army Community Ministries.  Thank you for helping provide these essential products to our local community members.

Infinitely More – a huge success!

Peterborough This WeekSaturday, April 9th – 1:00 – 3:00 pm – Choral Workshop led by duo “Infinitely More”

Fabulous concert by Infinitely More tonight! Such a blessing when Allison and Gerald took us on a musical journey from Palm Sunday through Holy Week to Easter Sunday with their music and messages!
Our choir also did a great job joining in for the last two numbers!

A Thank You

Thank you!  You have overwhelmed me with the many gifts you showered on me at the farewell celebration – the Stratford gift certificate, the ‘purse’ and the beautiful Inuit carving left me speechless as you had already given me the gift of sharing ministry together in the wonderful Trent-Durham part of God’s vineyard.  Your creativity and faithfulness – and hard working Spirit were a gift to me as your Area Bishop.  I will hold you all in my heart and my prayers as we continue to serve God!

Many blessings to all, + Linda

2015 Welcome Back Sunday

2015-welcome

It was a fantastic service of music and healing today for our Welcome Back Sunday!
Dr. Gail Payne spoke of the importance of healing and the Kawartha Male Choir  sang several beautiful anthems as well as hymn.  Welcome back everyone!

Greg & Bonnie pre wedding reception

Our own Rev. Canon Greg Physick celebrated his and Bonnie’s pre wedding reception with us all.

Guest Cellist Bryon Holt

Guest Cellist Bryon Holt played with the choir today . A special Anthem followed the sermon – singers included Don Chase, Paul Carpentier, and soloist Dave Golding.

Spring Thaw

Spring Thaw was a fun event, with a silent and live auction.  Thanks to all who attended and to the volunteers who worked in the kitchen and served the food.

Note from Barb Truax

Thank you to all!

Another fun night was held on April 11 with a delicious dinner catered by Edna Smith (the apple roses were wonderful!) and the very capable wait staff.  Many laughs were provided by our Master of Ceremonies, Michael Green, who outdid himself!

Councillor Pat O’Reilly auctioned the items in the Live Auction and provided more fun!

My sincere thanks are extended to Linda Todd and Patti Fisher for the Silent and Live Auction tables, Bob Whitfield, our wine sommelier, Helen Roberts, our hostess and Dave Hillman for setting up the tables and those that laundered cloths at home.

To those loyal individuals who came to set the tables and the volunteers who served our dinner, I am indebted.  Thank you Betty Drummond for pulling together the staff servers.  I must mention Valerie James-Call for designing the tickets.

We are thankful to all those generous donors  and ‘winners’ of our auction items that allowed the evening to net around $2500.00 for St. Paul’s.  Great work!

However, the evening would not have netted this sum without those who attended the event and supported it.

My hat goes off to all who participated in any way!!
